Concept and Implementation:
Event Series for the Opening of the New Company Location
With the relocation of the Stadtwerke Stuttgart Group to Kesselstr. 21-23 in Stuttgart-Wangen, Stadtwerke Stuttgart, Stuttgart Netze, and the energy services of the state capital Stuttgart are now united at a single location for the first time. From here, they will jointly drive forward the energy transition in the state capital.
Under the motto “Join us in shaping the energy future,” the celebrations began in mid-July 2024.
On the first two event days, important representatives from politics and business, as well as business customers and partners, were invited (145 and 230 guests respectively).
In addition to a diverse program featuring a keynote speech, guided tours of the new premises, the Energy Campus, and the centerpiece of the new location—the customer center “EnergiePlaza”—as well as the “Marketplace of New Energies,” where the various departments presented themselves to the audience, there was ample time for networking and engaging conversations.
The grand finale of the celebrations took place a few days later with over 1,000 visitors: at the open house day, employees were able to show their families the new workplace, and the Energy Campus opened its doors to the public in Stuttgart.
Young and old alike enjoyed a vibrant program that included a live band, comedy performances, science shows, a play street with numerous hands-on activities, and presentations of energy transition solutions at the Marketplace of New Energies—rounded off with a wide variety of culinary delights from food trucks.
Steilpass was in charge of the concept development, detailed planning, and coordination of the opening events, liaising between and with the individual service providers (event technology, catering, program elements, security, etc.). The agency was also responsible for invitation management and program design and played a key role in the successful on-site execution of the events with a full team presence.
